The recognition, presented by the NC Department of Labor and the Union County Chamber of Commerce, serves as a testament to Pureon’s unwavering commitment to fostering a safe and secure working environment. It’s the 8th time that the team in Monroe won this award.
About NCDOL’s Safety Awards Program
The N.C. Department of Labor’s Safety Awards Program recognizes private and public companies throughout the state that achieve and maintain good safety records. The program is designed to stimulate interest in accident prevention and to promote safety in the workplace by providing an incentive to employers and employees to maintain a safe and healthful workplace.
What are the criteria?
The Gold Safety award bestowed upon Pureon Monroe was granted based on the stringent criterion set forth by the NC Department of Labor and the Union County Chamber of Commerce. The primary benchmark for this recognition was the rate of days away from work, job transfer, or restriction, which had to be at least 50 percent below the industry average.
