Microdiamant acquires US-based Eminess
Technologies and merges under the new brand
Pureon. The combined company is the leading
global provider of surface finishing solutions
for high-tech materials, with a strong market
presence in Europe, America and Asia.

Founding of Chinese subsidiary
in Suzhou City.

Opening of the Surface Lab
in Lengwil, Switzerland.

Launch of SPLENDIS universal-use

to precision optics market.

Pureon’s Monroe siteis awarded its
first Star Safety Award.

Opening of the US Surface Lab,
located on campus of UNC in Charlotte, NC.

Launch of SQUADRO, the new
generation fine grinding pad.

The Monroe, NC factory is relocated to a
new facility. This step increases slurry, pad and fixture
capacity and triples its manufacturing footprint.

The Swiss Venture Club's Entrepreneur Award
Ostschweiz 2012 goes to Pureon (known at that
time under the name Microdiamant).

Acquisition and integration of
Oberflächentechnologien Ziesmer.

Introduction of ULTRA-SOL STD
slurries for SiC wafer polishing.

Launch of the inhouse R&D department
and start of engineered suspension

leader specializing in advanced
surface polishing consumables,

Daniel and Martin Spring, take over
the company.

The company acquires the Mypolex
polycrystalline diamond business
from DuPont, USA, securing its own
source of polycrystalline diamond.

Invention of GAF (guaranteed
agglomerate-free) Liquid Diamond.

The company moves into
its new headquarters in
Lengwil, Switzerland.

As the first micronizer worldwide,
the company implements an ISO 9000
certified quality management system.

Kurt Spring takes over the
company he will lead for
the next 25 years.
